The study of music

Music is pretty much everywhere and we have access to it mostly all the time. We listen to music all the time for example when we’re getting ready, working out, studying or hanging out with friends. There is many genres like country, electronic, rap, rock, folk and many more type of music. I listen to everything, based on my mood, if im feeling sad i’ll listen to country or old school rock and if i’m feeling hype i’ll listen to rap or my electronic music. Music has affected society specifically culture and influence. Music has helped shaped culture for example Durangueze is a style of music, it’s different from Guanajuato or San Luis Potosi music. Durangueze has a unique music because we use Tamborazo and techobanda which means our music is created at home. This type of music is how I grew up living and its part of my culture because without Duranguense I wouldn’t have my latina pride. This is my music and pride because it reminds me of who I am. Music has influenced people mostly for the better for example you have hip hop songs that speak on getting out the hood or streets to live a better life, they speak on their own influences and what’s guided them to live their life the way they do they speak troubles and hard times a great example is the rapper Eminem. Eminem would get bullied because he grew up in a African American neighborhood where he was one of the few white people there, he dealt with a lot of struggles for example growing up with an absent father and had a rough relationship with his mother. He was fascinated by rap and wanted to pursue it therefor Eminem dropped out of school to become a rapper. Eminem started rapping about his childhood, violence, and his thoughts as he was growing up. This cought many attention to people who were dealing with the same problems or similar situations, his music were mostly sad, especially the album Marshall Mathers LP 2, this song When I’m gone stood out to me because it mainly talked about how he is afraid of losing his daughter Hailie he wants to have a normal life with his daughter and not miss any moments with her as she was growing up.In conclusion all music has affected society and culture and influence by these reasons.
